6. Important Notes
General outpatient services with insurance coverage for the insured students are only available for those who seek medical treatment at designated outpatient clinics to which the students’ social security accounts are bound (please refer to step 5 of application procedures). If students receive services at outpatient clinics without having their accounts bound to them, they will not be covered by the medical insurance. Students who have access to the Internet can log in to the “personal service online system” on the website of the Shenzhen Municipal Social Security Bureau (On this platform, they can suspend their medical insurance, bind the designated medical institution/outpatient clinic to their account, and inquire about insurance enrollment information) and select a community health center in this city as their designated outpatient clinic. They can also subscribe to the WeChat public account of "Shenzhen Social Security" and select "Convenient Services" to bind their account to the designated outpatient clinic. Students who do not have access to the Internet can directly go to the nearest social health center for account binding. After binding the account, no changes can be made within one (1) month.
